The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015 state clients and contractors are equally responsible under law for health and safety during the works. Clients for appointing a suitably qualified contractor to carry out the works and the contractor to have all the policies and procedures in place to manage the works. You can be rest assured that Robinsons takes this responsibility extremely seriously. We have a dedicated Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager who oversees all aspects of health and safety across our sites.

- ISO 9001 certificated. ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS). Robinsons has been audited to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Buying a CE Marked building lets you know that the components of your building have been checked by a Quality Control Manager (QCM). Our QCM checks the plates and welds of each building, ensuring that all industry requirements are being adhered to. The penalties for non-compliance with CE Marking include suspension notices, prohibition notices, notices to warn, application for forfeiture and risk of insurance refusing your insurance claim or may not pay out the full amount. For certain offences, these penalties may include a fine, imprisonment or both.
All of our sites are risk assessed with full Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS) produced. This is then briefed to our site teams within a full site induction and any required toolbox talks carried out before beginning each project. These risk assessments are updated regularly throughout the project to ensure they remain relevant and safety is the priority.
PPE & Safety Equipment
All of our teams must wear full PPE whilst onsite including hard hat, hi-vis and safety boots which are provided as standard and replaced as needed. Further safety equipment including harnesses and netting for working at height is mandatory. We enforce this as standard for the safety of our employees, this is also compulsory as part of the Working at Height Regulations 2005.
Employee Training & Certification
All employees must have a relevant CSCS card before being permitted access to our sites. Our plant operators also hold the relevant certification and cards suited to their role. We have a full training program managed by Line Managers and HR Department to assure everyone is up to date with the correct legislated qualifications
